- As of Fall 2008, member of the Bow River Basin
Council's Education and Communication Committee;
- In 2008-2009, music (therapy) will be
provided to school children (Preschool to Grade 7) and art (therapy) at the
Grade 10 level, to further their age appropriate psychological growth,
development and well-being;
- Since 2007, resource, research, and community support for
disabled people, with specialization in rehabilitating people with severe
mental health illnesses and behavioural disorders;
- In 2006, participation in the Calgary
and Area Child & Family Services Authority
Community Initiative Program;
- In 2005/6, community education support
given to a local First Nations school;
- In 2005-8, general assistance was given to
the organizers of the Stoney Banff Indian Days, to
promote the survival of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation's people.
Support was given for the promotion of health and well-being, through the preservation of their identity,
traditions and language;
- In 2004, "An Overview of E.coli
0157:H7 in Agriculture" PowerPoint presentation was
given to the Bow River Basin Council. This
presentation was based on the "Epidemiology of
Infectious Diseases" paper completed for the
University of Calgary's Faculty of Medicine in 2002;
- Between 2002 to 2004, gastrointestinal
bacterial disease and general environmental/social health
promotion research;
- In 2001, health care assistance was given
to a medical facility for the poor (i.e., for those who
were uninsured and underinsured) in the Bronx, New York,
U.S.A.;
- In 2000, coordination of the Bow River
Basin Council's Urban Stormwater Management
Implementation Project (USMIP).
